I realize that I have not updated this blog in months, partly because I am no longer a solo attorney. In September, I was offered a position at the Sugar Land law firm of Hrbacek & Gandhi, PC. And I took it!
I am doing mostly what I was doing at my last firm -- civil litigation and appeals -- but with a bit wider focus. So far, so good!
As a firm, however, we offer a pretty range of services. The senior partner, Dean Hrbacek, is a CPA and board certified in tax law. Dean is also a former mayor of Sugar Land.
Susan Martinez is also a board-certified tax attorney and she and Dean represent people in disputes with the IRS and state taxing authorities.

Himesh Gandhi, the other partner, practices mostly in business law with some litigation. Himesh is a newly elected Sugar Land city council member and the youngest Indian/American elected official in Texas, I'm told.
The final member of our legal crew, James Nestor, practices mainly in business law, estate planning and probate.
And of course, I'm still the same guy as before; a little older, a little grayer.
I'm afraid that our general practice web site is under construction, but that is one of the things we are working on remedying as soon as possible. I am also planning to start a firm Twitter account and try to get us into the 21st Century, social media wise.
